A recent conducted study by NerdWallet set out to find the best places for homeownership in the United States and Salt Lake City was ranked #3 of best large metropolitan areas.
NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy website, set out to find the most desirable areas that homebuyers find most appealing to them. Three main questions were asked to help determine the areas.
1. Are homes available?
2. Can you afford to live there?
3. Is the area growing?
Here in the SaltLake area, home inventory has always been here, although inventory has been low in the past couple of years, homes are still available to those who want to buy.
Cost of living is also very affordable compared to other areas in the country, our gas prices are among the lowest has well has groceries.
Forbes ranked SaltLake #13 for best places for business and careers and Provo came in at #2. SaltLake continues to been high on the radar for new business seeking a place to call home for many years now.
Homeownership Rate Of 67.5%
Salt Lake City area has a homeownership rate of 67.5 percent, and median monthly homeowner costs are $1,527. With home prices and mortgage rates still relativity low, buying a home is still very reachable for want-to-be home owners.
NerdWallet also ranked Ogden-Clearfield #2 and Provo-Orem #3 for best medium-sized metro areas for homeownership.
There are a lot of positive things going on here in Salt Lake and it’s a great place live and/or visit. It is always nice to be notice by outside people.
